The Time Is Upon Us!
Time to clean up the streets of Arkham City!
The highly-anticipated release of Batman: Arkham City has hit the streets. Expectations are high for matrix client Warner Brothers Interactive first major release since it’s inception. But reviews are even higher for the caped crusader’s latest adventure, with highest rated video game of the year from the review compilation site Metacritic. The original game had the world’s greatest detective cleaning up the overrun Arkham Asylum; the original game sold 4.3 million copies in 2009, but continues to sell year after year. The game was timeless. People love the franchise and Arkham City had double the preorders of the original. If this is the success we are all expecting, Warner Bros. Interactive could do $1 billion in sales in 2011 – even Bruce Wayne would be impressed by that.
matrix is thrilled to have worked with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment (Canada) in its’ launch by creating graphics for multiple temporary and permanent displays found in Walmart, Future Shop, Best Buy, Toys R’ Us and EB Games.
With the excitement of Batman: Arkham City’s release, retail specific exclusives are available to the consumer. For example, downloadable content, gaming bundles, etc. By applying graphic call-outs of the exclusives on the displays and on a variety of POP pieces, matrix was able to successfully promote these elements.
Additional point of purchase pieces including Aisle Blades calling out the release can be found in Walmart and Toys R’ Us stores.
