Working to provide better solutions for our clients as well as the retailers, matrix re-evaluated a current temporary display platform in use in retail across Canada and redesigned the template to make better use of the allotted floor space in retail. The focus was to design a more Environmentally Friendly display that would hold the same amount of product and provide better visibility, easier merchandising, better impact at store level, better marketing communications options and reduce the amount of corrugate in use and in turn, reduce the carbon footprint used to produce the displays. The resulting display uses 42% less corrugate material and significantly reduces the overall carbon footprint and bio mass necessary to manufacture and deliver the finished product to stores. In addition, the display met all the objectives and also can be produced at a significant savings to the studios. When sales were measured against the old model temporary display there was a noticeable increase in number of units sold in the stores that were using the new reduced corrugate display which was a big win for the studios, the retailer and the environment.
